Faith

Andy asked me to share a testimony on faith at Youth Service, so I thought about it a while & here's my thoughts on it:

In 1 Peter 1:7 it says:
"That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ"

God tests us to see how much faith we have. The tests we go through often seem like they'll kill us bring honour to God. When we come out of a storm, not only is our faith made stonger, but God gets honour in us doing it. Sometimes when I go through things, I only think of myself.
God not only cares that I make it though a storm, He wants me to keep the faith, be cheerful, & trust Him through it. When I do this, it brings Him glory & honour.

UPDATE:
I didn't actually talk about this. About 1 minute before time to talk I decided that I should concentrate more on faith. It's still a good point, but it's not so much about faith as faith bringing glory to God.

My sister Esther. (She ordered me to remove the last picture due to bad hair day)

Teeth brushing.

Another picture of strange creatures.

Big mouth of cake!

Lighting the candle.

Bro. Bill & Sister Zilpha Coleman just married.

Ah! this is them trying to feed applesauce blindfolded. (I'll put up more pictures as I get them)

Busy as a B-day

This weekend I relearned the meaning of busy. Shalom & my nephew Benjamin came in from Arizona, & Josiah, Anna, my niece Emily, & Carmella came in from Florida. Friday I put together nine sign posts for Sister Vaughn's (or now Coleman's) wedding. Saturday morning I got up at 7:00 and put them out all over the place, then went to Goody's to buy a shirt & tie. 10:00 I got home, took a shower. At about 11:00 I went to the wedding early to start the slideshow. The wedding was amazing, even anointed. I was upstairs printing out DVDs & VCR labels, so I missed some of it, but what I saw was awesome. It was a great example of what God can do if you wait on Him. After the wedding, we went down to the Oasis Building for the reception. That was the best food I ever had at a wedding. About 3:00 I went to the house, cleaned up a bit, & painted the lines for volleyball. About 3:45, I realized that I'd forgotten ice! By the time I got back, there were quite a few people there. We played vollyball (or more mudball). We then played a game where several people try to feed another person applesuace blindfolded. It was sort of messy. Then we gave them complimentary toothbrushes (new, never used) with which to brush their friends teeth. It was great fun. I took some pictures, which I'll put up as soon as they're developed. I''ll go ahead & put up a few pictures of the wedding & relative I already have. Well, gotta go, God bless.

My Sister Shalom Visits

Thursday, my sister Shalom flew in from Arizona with my four month old nephew Benjamin. It was the first time I'd got to see him so it's pretty cool. (He already likes playing the drums). Saturday I went to youth service. Ford, Candace, & Priscilla Ector came for the first time. We had a blast & the service was really anointed. Sunday church was packed out. I ended up parking way behind the church. After church I went with Toby, Daniel, John Mark, Anthony and Kristin (Ducky) to Whitney's apartment for pizza. We watched "Chronicles of Narnia". (sweet movie)
Well, better go.

I'm Tired

Over the weekend I did not get enough sleep.
Friday:
I went to Toby's with Josh.
Saturday:
First I went to town. I went to Walmart, Save-A-Lot (for Mom), & Lowe's. At Lowe's I got some materials for a project I'm working on. I'm building a small model Log Cabin, complete with a metal roofing. So far I have the plans drawn up & materials bought. Then I went (or maybe stayed?) for Tim's B-Day Party.
Later on Saturday I went to Dairy Barn & Psalm 66.
Sunday:
I went to church, went to eat, went to TJ-Maxx, then went to church again
Now all this generally isn't so bad, but the time change has made it crazy. Oh well, I guess that explains my rather lame animation this week.

Sweet weekend

This weekend was cool.
Friday night I watched "Ice Age II". It's a great movie. I especially liked the part.....(I'd better not tell you, wouldn't want to spoil it)
Saturday, I went to the park & slid down these enormous slides. ( I know it sounds silly, but we were sitting on Frisbees and you go like 50 Mph.) I now have two skinned elbows.
Later on Saturday, I changed the fuel filter on my car. It was to late to go to youth service, so I went to Psalm 66. This is a group of Christians who get together each Saturday @ 7:30 & worship. It's awesome. Here's their website: http://www.psalmsixtysix.com
After that I went our to eat at Steak & Shake.
Sunday was the time change. I got up at 10:45. Our church starts at 11:00. I was slightly late.
Sunday night service was awesome. If I remember I'll get a DVD of it.
Monday night we again went sliding. This time we had an improvement.
I bought a can of SPAM! Thus making you go twice as fast, & land twice as hard.
Well gotta go!!
